Dates That Decide Futures: UNEB Releases 2025 Exam Timetable
The wait is over UNEB has set the dates that will decide the future of Uganda’s learners.
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the official
timetable for the 2025 national examinations, which will see thousands of
candidates sit for their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Uganda Certificate
of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
According to the schedule, candidates for the Primary Leaving
Examinations (PLE) will be briefed on October 31, 2025, before sitting their
papers on November 3 and 4. For the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), the
briefing is set for October 10, 2025, with examinations running from October 13
to November 7. Senior Six candidates who will be sitting the Uganda Advanced
Certificate of Education (UACE) will be briefed on November 7, before their
examinations begin on November 10 and end on December 5, 2025.
The release of the timetable provides learners, schools, and parents
with ample time to prepare for the final stage of the academic year. UNEB has
also emphasized the importance of the briefing sessions, which are designed to
guide candidates on examination rules, regulations, and expectations.
Meanwhile, faith leaders and education advocates have encouraged the
public to support candidates not only academically but also spiritually. In a
special message, believers have been urged to dedicate prayers and fasting for
all learners from October 13 until December 5, 2025, when the last paper will
be written.
With less than a month to go before the first exams commence, teachers
and schools are intensifying revision programs to ensure learners are
adequately prepared. Parents are also being reminded to provide a supportive
environment at home to help reduce stress and anxiety among candidates as they
approach this critical moment in their academic journey.
