Bongomin Alex Sweeps UNITE Unyama Guild Elections
The Rise of Bongomin Alex: UNITE Guild Elections Shaken by Landslide Win
The drums of democracy beat loud and clear at UNITE
Unyama Campus on Monday as Bongomin Alex swept to victory, becoming the
newly elected Guild President in what many have called the most electrifying
election in the institution’s history.
With 329 votes, Bongomin not only clinched the
presidency but also cemented his place in the history books as one of the last
Guild Presidents from the former NTC Unyama cohorts. His closest rival,
Tumusime Moses, fought hard with 260 votes, while Ochora David Ballack trailed
with 11. Eighty-six ballots were invalid, bringing the total to 686 votes cast.
As the results were announced, the campus exploded in
jubilation. Students danced, chanted, and lifted Bongomin high on their
shoulders as celebrations echoed across the grounds. The moment was more than a
victory it was a statement of unity, energy, and a shared vision for the future
of UNITE.
In his victory speech, a visibly emotional Bongomin
promised to be a servant leader.
“This win is not mine alone it belongs to every
student of UNITE Unyama. Together, we will build an inclusive, vibrant, and
memorable legacy as the final cohorts of NTC Unyama,” he declared to thunderous
cheers.
Many students described Bongomin as a determined and
charismatic leader whose campaign message of inclusivity and representation
resonated deeply. His ability to connect with fellow students, coupled with his
unwavering confidence, positioned him as the clear favorite throughout the
campaign trail.
The victory also carries symbolic weight. As UNITE
transitions fully into a degree-awarding institution, Bongomin’s presidency
will serve as a bridge between the legacy of NTC Unyama and the dawn of UNITE’s
new chapter.
For the students who turned out in record numbers,
this was more than just an election it was a defining moment of identity,
pride, and hope. And at the center of it all stood Bongomin Alex, the people’s
choice, the leader of a generation, and the final torchbearer of NTC Unyama’s
legacy.
